Fonio is a grain from Africa that is known as the “ancient grain of Africa.”; It has a high nutritional value and can be prepared in several ways. The benefits of consuming fonio include such things as reversing diabetes, boosting the immune system, detoxifying the body, and controlling weight gain.

Fonio is one of the oldest grains in the world and has been cultivated for thousands of years in both West and East Africa. Because fonio is easy to grow, highly nutritious and gluten-free, it has become a popular ingredient for health-conscious cooks both in Africa and abroad.

Fonio is the smallest cereal on the planet, weighing only 350 grams per liter. In addition to being easy to cook and a good source of fiber and protein, fonio also has a range of health benefits. Fonio is recommended in diets such as the Palaeolithic diet because it contains no gluten; additionally, it can be grown in dry areas where other plants may have trouble growing.
