The Most Nutritious Weed Plant in Africa

Ligusha is a root vegetable that grows in the southern part of Africa, particularly in Eswatini (Swaziland) and South Africa. Ligusha is an edible plant with medicinal properties. It is used to treat and cure some ailments, especially those related to the liver, stomach, and kidneys.

Ligusha is one of the most nutritious weed plants in Africa. It has been used for centuries to treat and cure many health problems, especially those that affect older people. The plant grows abundantly in farmers’ plantations, which makes it difficult for people to access it. Furthermore, Ligusha is seasonal in parts of Africa that experience two distinct seasons every year.

Nutritional Benefits

Ligusha is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It is also a rich source of protein, calcium, and iron. With so many nutrients packed into it, the plant can be used for treating several health conditions, including diabetes and hypertension.

Take advantage of the nutritional benefits of ligusha, the most effective natural home remedy for health problems. Ligusha is the plant people use to treat their ailments and diseases. We know it as a “witch-hazel” or “kalanchoe.” Other names include Ligusia and Boudreaux’s Buttons.

Other advantages of consuming ligusha include the ability to lower blood sugar levels, improve the immune system, and boost stamina. Ligusha is also known for its ability to help with cardiovascular health, reduce anxiety and stress, relieve pain in arthritis sufferers, prevent inflammation in joints, as well as treat gout and heartburn.

Ligusha can be enjoyed fresh or purchased in powder form.  The team at Yanni Bistro is currently working on importing ligusha into the United States – watch this space and follow us on social media for an announcement on when it will be added to our plant-based offering.
